In spite of a directive from the police against it, NASA parliamentarians led by James Orengo, Johnstone Muthama and Bonny Khalwale held a well-attended rally at the Jacaranda Stadium in Nairobi.
They said that their strongholds will not recognize the Uhuru presidency and threatened to swear in Raila Odinga as their president.
''There is something that's going on in Kenya that even Uhuru doesn't understand. Raila is in the process of overthrowing the government. He is coming back with more power than a tsunami.'' Senator James Orengo said.
''We are not going back until Raila is sworn in as the president,'' Gladys Wanga said.
Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka are expected to return to the country next week and the parliamentarians have vowed to flood the streets with supporters who will welcome the two leaders.
