Coalition for Reforms and Democracy leader Raila Odinga on Monday said Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission officials were tainted with graft allegation which should be cleared first before being allowed to oversee another election.
Raila also said the IEBC commissioners were equally too incompetent to conduct elections and should therefore be replaced before August 2017.
The Cord leader on Monday led opposition supporters in storming IEBC offices in Nairobi in a bid to force the electoral body's commissioners resign.
He has maintained he won the 2013 Presidential election but was shortchanged by the IEBC which he claims is headed by corrupt officials.
"We emphasise that the protests shall continue every Monday across the country until the commissioners tainted with Chicken Gate corruption allegations and incompetence step aside," he said in a statement shortly after the peaceful protest.
Two English citizens working for a UK printing firm are already serving jail terms after a London court found them guilty of bribing IEBC officials months before the 2013 general election.
Opposition protests according to the Cord Co-Principals will he held every Monday across the country until IEBC chairman Isaack Hassan and other commissioners resign.
There was heavy police deployment on Monday outside the University Way-located IEBC offices.
Unlike the first demonstration where protesters were teargassed before the Mr Odinga, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka and Ford Kenya's Moses Wetangula spoke, Monday's demonstration was largely peaceful until the last minute when police lobbed teargas canisters to protesters after speeches.
Raila used the same occasion to criticise government over the death of controversial businessman Jacob Juma who was shot dead last week.
