NASA flag-bearer Raila Odinga has reached out to his supporters to vote only for NASA-affiliated parties in the August 8 elections.
Raila said the masses should ignore those going into the elections as independent candidates and claiming to still support him.
He said that the independents have refused to obey the will of the people that was manifested in the party primaries of the five NASA-affiliate parties.
His argument said that the vying of independent candidates can only act to prevent NASA from getting the maximum votes to rise to power.
“The NASA coalition has five parties — ODM, Ford Kenya, ANC, Chama Cha Mashinani and Wiper — whose candidates should be considered in the coming general election to boost my bid,” Raila said.
“I have constantly urged them to adhere to the wishes of the people but they have insisted on running as independent, let them not deceive you using my name to satisfy their selfish interest,” Raila added.
