ODM leader, Raila Odinga, has given a strong indication that his party may go to the polls independently in 2017.
Speaking in Narok at a delegates meeting at African Hope Hall, Raila said he was keen on strengthening his party.
Raila said ODM was not in rush to form coalitions before the elections saying Cord is a homestead with different houses. The homes are the affiliate parties which include Wiper, Ford Kenya and ODM.
“We have to build our house and make it strong. When ODM is strong, CORD will be strong,” Raila said.
Raila said he was meeting his supporters ahead of the elections where he also accused Jubilee of perennial corruption.
“Their work is to eat meat while others are dying in hunger as if we are dogs. ODM as the government in waiting is preparing for a tough contest next year,” he stated.
He said he was the best person to address perennial conflicts and challenges facing the Maa community.
After the delegates meeting, Raila went major rally in Ilmashariani.
