Opposition leader Raila Odinga expressed disappointment, after rowdy youth disrupted his rally in Turkana.

He accused his political opponents of hiring the youth to frustrate his rally, despite being a peaceful one.

Raila wondered why would someone want to stop him from addressing Turkana residents yet Kenya was a democratic nation.

"They are sending young men to stop me from addressing you. Why would one do such a thing? This means they do not want your issues to be addressed. We will not stop until this government goes home,'' said Raila.

"You've seen women and children being shot at, isn't it? Those who sent the youth to disrupt this meeting are the most foolish,'' he told a crowd after calm was restored.

Raila further asked them to vote out the Jubilee government since it had failed to address the ravaging drought which has also affected Turkana County.

His ODM party through secretary general Dr Agnes Zani has since accused Jubilee party of being behind the incident which saw Odinga escape unhurt, Friday.
