NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has been invited to visit Nyeri County, a day after he was given a rousing welcome in Kiambu County.
Charles Mwangi Ringui, a politician, told the Standard that Nyeri residents are eager to hear what the former Prime Minister has in store for Kenyans in his manifesto.
"I would like the Opposition leader Mr Odinga to come to Nyeri and talk to voters, there are many people who would be willing to hear what he has to offer as President," Ringui told the daily.
The politician said he is supporting NASA and would continue campaigning for its flagbearer because he was disappointed with the ruling Jubilee government.
"He has visited neighbouring counties but avoided Nyeri, and he should know he is welcome to come and campaign here just like any other candidate in the race. There are also people from this county who are rallying behind his candidature," he added.
Raila is expected to intensify his raids in the perceived Jubilee strongholds of Murang'a, Nyeri and Kirinyaga counties.
