Nasa leader Raila Odinga is playing reverse psychology on President Uhuru Kenyatta in the election rigging claims.
Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi says that Raila is the one planning to rig the August 8 election but accuses Uhuru to divert attention from himself.
"This is a game where you say one thing but you mean another. For instance, Raila has told us that Uhuru will rig this election but it is possible that Raila is saying this because he is planning to rig himself. And by putting the spotlight on Uhuru, he is taking away the attention from himself," says Ngunyi in this week's political hypothesis available on his YouTube channel, The Fifth Estate.
He adds: "This way, he can rig without anyone noticing it. And the court of appeal ruling on Friday has not helped, in fact, it gives Raila a licence to rig and Kriegler also told us that Raila could have rigged in the 2007 elections. So, he is a competent elections rigger."
He says that Raila is not prepared for this election and that is why he is trying everything possible to stop it through court cases.
"And I say that this is nothing but political nonsense because Raila is not prepared for this election or any other election in his entire life time. That is why he is using diversionary tactics and court cases is an example," Ngunyi states.
He further notes that Raila's 'main game plan is to employ violence' during and after the elections going by his recent utterances saying that fighting IEBC is diversionary.
