Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has demanded that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declares Uhuru Kenyatta the the winner of the repeat presidential election as directed by the Supreme Court.

This is after National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga formerly withdrew from the elections that had been scheduled for October 26.

Speaking when he led Jubilee presidential campaigns in Baringo county on Tuesday, Mandago described Raila as a coward, following his decision to withdraw from the rave with barely two weeks remaining.

The vocal Jubilee governor accused NASA of using demands for electoral reforms as a scapegoat in withdrawing from the race.

"The so called irreducible minimums by NASA were mere obstacles they were using because they knew they would use it as an excuse to withdraw from the repeat poll," Mandago noted.

"This clearly shows how Raila is cowered. He has sensed defeat and now opted out to avoid another humiliation in the hands of Jubilee," he added.

The governor who has been leading team two of the Jubilee party Presidential campaigns further claimed by withdrawing from the polls, NASA were out to create a crisis in the country.

"We are not going to accept this country to be put into violence by a few selfish politicians," Mandago said.
