Kwale Women Representative Zainab Chidzuga has launched a scathing attack on NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga, terming him a “cry baby who will lose in the August 8 polls".

In an interview with the People Daily, Chidzuga accused Raila of lamenting about everything he thinks is not working in his favour. She said Raila’s concerns and calls for cancellation of the ballot paper printing tender awarded to a Dubai-based firm are not genuine.Chidzuga claimed that NASA leaders were not prepared for the polls and wanted to force a postponement.“We know the dirty tricks Raila is employing to prevent the country from holding the August 8 polls,” she said, as quoted by the daily. She said Jubilee’s campaigns will not be derailed by NASA’s concerns adding that the ruling government’s main focus is to win re-election.The Jubilee MP asked the opposition to stop intruding into IEBC affairs and allow the commission to do its work independently. She said IEBC can only deliver fair and credible polls if politicians keep politics out of its activities. This comes after Raila raised a red flag over the Sh2.5 billion ballot paper printing tender that IEBC awarded Al Ghurair, a Dubai firm. The former Prime Minister claimed that the tender is a plot by Jubilee to rig the polls, claims that IEBC has since denied.
