Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga is a dishonest politician who thrives on misleading the public on key issues in the country,government spokesman Erick Kiraithe has said.
Speaking to Radio Maisha on Monday, the former police boss said that Odinga's allegations that the military is being propped up by the Jubilee government to rig elections was farfetched and untrue."Raila is a big liar, all these claims he is making about the military are baseless and far fetched.No Kenyan should take such claims seriously," he said.Odinga has since linked the military to a rigging plot saying they are working in cahoots with the government to cause voter apathy in Nasa strongholds in the name of maintaining peace.He went ahead to produce documents purportedly from the Department of Defence (DoD) to support his claims,a move that has created mixed reactions over the validity of the papers eapecially after a senior military official admitted the authenticity of the same.
However the government through Defence CS Raychelle Omamo and her Interior counterpart Fred Matiangi have dismissed the claims as untrue.
