Raila Odinga should be declared a national disaster, Nakuru leaders have said.

The leaders led by Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui urged residents reject Raila at the ballot.

Speaking in Kuresoi on Thursday, governor Kinyanjui said Raila is a 'chaotic' leader who has caused instability in the country.

"Raila is frustrating our country. He is a failure and will never win the presidency," he said.

Nakuru deputy governor Erick Korir said opposition politics have hindered growth of the economy after the nullification of Uhuru's victory.

"We need to rescue our country by voting for Uhuru on October 26," said Korir.

He added that government operations have been paralyzed due to Raila's 'selfish interests'.

On her part, Nakuru woman rep Liza Chelule said MPs' move to change electoral laws will stabilize the country.

"MPs were elected to make laws and that is what we are simply doing to ensure Kenya is safe during elections", she said.
