President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have accused CORD co-principal Raila Odinga of peddling lies against Jubilee administration in order to voters sympathy ahead of 2017 polls.
Speaking in Chaka town in Nyeri County on Monday, the President said Raila is a serial liar and urged Jubilee supporters to completely ignore former premier's allegations.
"When Raila wakes in the morning, he thinks of a lie to tell. Even when he was given a position by Kibaki, he undermined him instead of working. He can never help you," said the President.
Deputy President Ruto, who is accompanying the President on his tour of Central Kenya, said the ODM party leader is trying to fan voter apathy in Central Kenya by using the media to discredit Jubilee government. He talked about Eurobond. It turned out to be false.
Now he has come up with apathy talk to repress your votes. Do not fall for that propaganda," said Ruto.
He urged the residents to register in droves to vote for Jubilee Party in 2017 general election and send the opposition leader to retirement.
The President and his Deputy launched construction works of the Market Hub in Chaka Township.
The facility will be an ultra modern market hub with a multitude of amenities among them a wholesale market, a retail market, value addition facilities such as cooling plants and banking and community halls.
