Former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu has rubbished NASA’s push to swear-in Raila Odinga as president.Mutambu argued that Raila’s threat of swearing himself in as president is a political tactic to remain relevant.Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the late Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze’s burial on Tuesday, the former Wiper MP claimed that Raila has no guts to swear himself in as president.He said the former Prime Minister is playing politics with the swearing-in threat in efforts to gain political sympathy.The former lawmaker said Raila’s political fate was sealed when he withdrew from the October 26 repeat presidential election.Mutambu stated that Raila knows that his swearing-in is meaningless thus does not want to embarrass himself.“NASA politicians should stop making noise on swearing in Raila as president because the former Prime Minister himself has no guts of taking the oath,” said Mutambu.Mutambu advised Raila to wait for 2022 instead of keeping his supporters and allies guessing.He said the swearing-in chapter was closed after President Uhuru Kenyatta took an oath of office for a second term.Mutambu, who ditched Wiper and joined Jubilee Party before losing in the August 8 polls said Kenyans are tired of Raila’s political theatrics.He said that its time Raila accepted reality and moved on with his life.NASA insists that Raila will be sworn-in as the people’s president. Raila has maintained that he is not afraid of taking the oath.The former Prime Minister said that he is ready to die for the sake of electoral justice in the country.
