Mutua says the slot is a preserve for opposition chief Raila Odinga.

In an interview with Citizen TV on Thursday, the former government spokesman said he is ready reconsider backing Kalonzo's bid should he become Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) flag bearer.

"I think Cord and ODM have already decided that their candidate for president is going to be Raila Odinga and that is a sealed deal," he said

"If Kalonzo is chosen as the flag bearer, then we will handle it at that time but I really doubt that," he added

Mutua also criticized Kalonzo's lack of a stance saying it was the reason for the fallout within the Wiper Democratic Movement Party.

He urged the party to put its house in order to prevent further fall outs.

"Wiper has to put its house in order and that is why you are a lot of dissatisfaction among its members. Kalonzo has failed to offer leadership," Mutua said.

"Musyoka has been very inconsistent when articulating issues. His tone is different all the times making people lose trust in his leadership," he added.
