The National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s adviser, Salim Lone, has confirmed he is in good health.

This is after the Opposition leader was on Sunday evening rushed to a Mombasa hospital over suspected food poisoning after successfully completing a series of Nasa campaign rallies in Kilifi county.

He was treated and later discharged the same evening after doctors confirmed there was no cause for alarm.

Raila told the public that the doctors had established he was suffering from dehydration and gave him some water.

He assured his supporters and Kenyans at large that he was as fit as a fiddle and will be back in the campaigns.

Raila’s advisor confirmed the former prime minister was doing well and is expected to brief the public on the Nasas flag bearer’s recovery later in the day.

“Raila is doing very well this morning,” Lone said.

News of Raila’s supporters had sparked mixed reactions from online users with many wishing him quick recovery.
