Senator Agnes Zani has labeled opposition leader Raila Odinga ‘Kenya’s Magufuli’ adding that she is confident of a clear victory for ODM leader in August.
Although he is yet to be named opposition NASA’s flag bearer, Mr. Odinga is believed to be targeting his fourth and perhaps the last attempt for presidency.
His closest attempt for presidency was in 2007 where he narrowly lost to retired president Mwai Kibaki even though many media outlets projected him as actual winner.
“We are not stupid and as Coast, we shall vote him against and again. He is Kenya’s Magufuli and that remains to be a fact.
“His development record when serving in government is very clear. Those scared of his presidency are merchants of impunity who wants to continue looting public funds,” said Zani, who also doubles as ODM Secretary General.
Celebrated in the neighboring Tanzania, John Magufuli, who was elected Tanzanian President in 2015, has been viewed as a development conscious [president by the international community.
Mr Odinga also shares a nick name ‘Ting’a’ with the Chama Cha Mapinduzin President, who fires non- performing workers.
