Namwamba who has received sharp criticism in the past few days for revealing that some Western MPs including him were unhappy in Cord said he is in the Orange party to stay.

The Budalangi MP however lamented over scrapping off key responsibilities of the secretary general in ODM, leaving him with “no powers”.

“I am not complaining, ODM members know I am equal to the tasks I was given, I have served well in this party since it was launched. I even led its resurgence when top leaders like Ruto, Ngilu, Balala left.

Raila is like my father in politics, I have nothing personal against him,” Namwamba said.

Namwamba wondered why he was being targeted over the press conference where Funyula MP Paul Otuoma raised concern over them being sidelined in Cord activities in the Western region.

“I have not heard anyone telling off Otuoma, yet he led the press conference. The issues were raised by nine MPs, not only Ababu Namwamba,” he said.
