Kisii Senator Chris Obure believes his relationship with ODM leader Raila Odinga remains ‘warm’ despite his recent association with top Jubilee leaders.
Mr Obure has been leading several Jubilee campaign trails in Kisii County alongside Deputy Governor Joash Maangi despite his position as ODM Kisii County chair.
In an interview with the reporter, Obure maintained that he was still in ODM and slammed his critics who have been associating him with Jubilee government.
“My relationship with Party leader Raila is warm and its only people trying to exaggerate. The fact that I work with Jubilee government doesn’t mean that I decamped. We started ODM and I am there to stay,” he said.
“I have worked with Raila for a long time and I don’t see that relationship ending. He is a good person and understands me too perhaps that am why you have never heard calling me a mole or something of the sort,” he added.
Obure has been under pressure to relinquish his ODM seat from a number of party members and despite showing signs of ditching ODM; he never attended the launch of Jubilee party earlier this month at Kasarani.
