“Raila Odinga is out to ensure that next year’s election does not take place-push out electoral commissioners at the 11th hour, reject back up for technology so that the elections are messed up and incitement that is like 2007,” says the law maker.

He adds that this has been clear since 2014 that Raila does not want an election because he knows he will lose as he did in 1997, 2007 and 2013.

“His violent crusade against the outgoing IEBC earlier this year, and the ridiculous opposition to a back up to election technology tell the whole story,” he further states.

He further hit out at the Cord leader, accusing him of being a hypocrite and the name democracy is a veneer for him.

“Raila is on a delegitimisation campaign. To delegitimize parliament, delegitimize the electoral arbiter and delegitimize democracy. He has carried himself as a premier fighter for democracy and constitutionalism but it is all as a veneer. He is not a democrat; constitutionalism is a nuisance to Raila Odinga,” he added.

He accuses Raila of aiming at a failed election so that he can push for a caretaker government.

“What Raila wants is a failed election so that he and his foreign masters can push for a caretaker government, something that is undemocratic and stranger than fiction,” adds Duale.
