Uhuru said his government has fulfilled its development agenda and insisted that no money had been lost through Eurobond and in the health ministry.

After commissioning medical equipment yesterday at Nyeri Referral Hospital, the head of state accused the opposition leader of going on missions in foreign countries to spoil the good reputation of the government and scaring away potential investors.

“He is spreading falsehoods to our development partners that money is not being put to good use. He should visit hospitals across the country and see what we have done,” Uhuru said.

Speaking in Naru Moru, he further said without mentioning Raila’s name, that the Opposition leader was frustrating economic development in the country through false claims of corruption that made it difficult for the country to access donor funding.

“In 2007, the economy had grown by 8 percent but after he became Prime Minister, the growth slowed to 0.5 percent as a result of post-election violence. When he was given job by president Kibaki, it was all rhetoric without any service delivery,” Uhuru said.
