Ukambani leaders have accused opposition leader Raila Odinga of his plot to dump former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka.
Since August 8 elections, Kalonzo has gone missing from the political arena. Ukambani leaders on October 28 put the blame on Raila Odinga through a TV interview claiming that his forming a resistance movement is a clear indication of taking Kalonzo's 2022 chance to vie for the presidency.
Kitui Central MP Joe Mutambu said that it has always been the case after Raila loses. He always forms a new party to use in his bid for the presidency.
"Our agreement was clear, to let Kalonzo Musyoka be our flagbearer, but on the realisation that he had already lost, Odinga vacated CORD to form NASA. He has already lost in NASA and now forming National Resistance Movement which is a way of conning Kamba's political kingpin," Mutambu said.
The leaders accused the opposition of using backdoor fights to rise to power. They also called for the arrest of Johnson Muthama and James Orengo who were calling for Raila's swearing-in having not participated in the repeat elections.
