The Mombasa governor said the Cord leader had a multitude of supporters, and that it would be advisable if Cord co-principals, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula, rally behind him.

"Mr Odinga is the best candidate to send President Kenyatta home. He has a huge number of followers compared to any other Opposition leader,'' Joho said, Sunday.

He criticised the Jubilee administration for allegedly entertaining corruption, adding that Cord will takeover from Jubilee, to 'save' Kenyans from Jubilee 'failures'.

Joho was speaking during the second anniversary of the late Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang', in Waondo, Mbita Constituency.

Cord is yet to nominate a presidential flag-bearer for the August, 8, 2017 general polls, a situation that has been used by Jubilee, to 'paint' the Coalition, 'black'.
