NASA leader Raila Odinga has said remarks by Jubilee party leaders terming his readiness for having talks as an indication that he is seeking to have him share power as a stumbling block.
Mr Odinga said every time he said he was ready to hold talks with president Kenyatta, it was associated with power-sharing deal talks insisting that he is not interested in a coalition government.
He said he had shelved the intent to allow talks because of the way this was perceived by him saying he is only ready to meet for talks on free and fair elections.
"I was ready yesterday and anytime we can talk but I can only talk if free and fair elections is the theme to guide the discussions. Every time I say I am ready for talks they think I want to share power," said Raila.
Mr Odinga said this during his addressed the media at Wilson airport after a rally they had planned at Laare got canceled following a clash between NASA and Jubilee supporters prompting them to abandon the plan.
He said the protests by his supporters demanding for reforms remain in the schedule as usual but had only been suspended in honor if the lost lives.
He added that the coalition was now planning to hold demonstrations parallel with protests across the country.
On Wednesday NASA will hold a rally at Kamkunji grounds before proceeding to Bondo where they will hold a prayer service for three youth that was allegedly shot dead by police.
The prayer service will be held in place of Mashujaa Day celebrations before the leaders move to Kisii and Nyamira counties on Monday.
