Former Prime Minister on Sunday evening departed for United Kingdom where he is expected to stay for an entire week.

His tour comes barely a month after his political rival cum friend, president Uhuru Kenyatta also toured the country.

According to his spokesman Dennis Onyango,Raila is expected to hold public lectures in Cambridge and Oxford Universities.

"Raila left the country on Sunday evening and he is expected of hold public lecture in Cambridge on Tuesday.

" On Thursday, he will have similar lecture at Oxford. He will also meet Kenyans living in UK on Friday before jetting back over the weekend," read the statement.

Also, Raila is expected to hold talks with UK minister for Africa before end week.

Last November, Raila toured UK in the middle of an election crisis in Kenya.
