Raila Odinga has this morning left the country for South Africa to attend the funeral of anti-apartheid icon Winnie Mandela.
The ex-wife of the former South African president Nelson Mandela died on April 2 at a hospital in Johannesburg after a long illness.
Winnie will be laid to rest in the tranquil and exclusive Fourways Memorial Park tomorrow, Saturday.
The park is the same place where her late great-granddaughter Zenani Mandela was buried in 2010 after being hit by a car.
"H.E Raila Odinga and Mama @IdaOdinga departing for Johannesburg South Africa where they shall be attending the funeral of anti-apartheid icon Winnie Mandela," Odinga shared on Twitter Friday morning.

On Thursday, the former prime minister visited former President Daniel Arap Moi at his Kabarak residence.
According to Odinga's spokesperson Dennis Onyango, the opposition leader paid Moi a visit to wish him well.

Moi returned to the country late last month from Israel, where he had gone for medical check-ups.
On January 27, 2017, the former president underwent a minor surgery on his knee at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi.
Odinga also briefed Moi about the famous handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta on March 9.
