Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has exuded confidence that he will beat National Super Alliance (NASA) aspirants hands down in the forthcoming general polls.
Mvurya, who defected to Jubilee citing frustration, has insisted that he will retain his seat despite walking away from Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) Raila Amolo Odinga.
Addressing a public rally on Tuesday, the governor said that his performance scoreboard speaks for itself.
He also said that leaders affiliated to Jubilee will deliver President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto 70 per cent votes from this county in the August polls.
The governor, who accompanied by woman representative Zainab Chidzuga, Gonzi Rai and MP Khatib Mwashetani said that Jubilee leaders will pitch tents in different parts of the county to ensure that the current government retains power.
The county boss also urged other nominees to work as a team in order to deliver victory in the August General polls.
On her part, Chidzuga lauded President Kenyatta’s administration for working with the residents of Kwale to ensure that they realize the fruits of development.
Mvurya has been launching attack after attack against leaders of the opposition since he walked away from ODM. Mvurya was a close ally of Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho before he defected.
