ODM party leader Raila Odinga has played down Jubilee's development projects claiming they will not live to see the light of day.
Raila who spoke in Luanda constituency during the funeral of Nathan Muyera, father to former ODM Western coordinator George Muyera, said the government had run out of funds and was unable to support any projects.
"On some of the projects, they come with tractors which are used for commissioning and then they are returned to where they were brought from. The projects stall because the government has over-committed itself already with non-existent projects where money has been lost," said Raila as quoted by the Standard.
"Right now the government has no capacity to insert more projects in its budget," he added.
Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya who accompanied Raila during the event insisted that Western Kenya was still an opposition zone despite Jubilee's attempt to woo the voters with development projects which he termed as projects of the Grand Coalition Government.
"The political stance in Western remains intact. Any attempt to hoodwink the electorate through projects that are the brainchild of the Grand Coalition Government will not bear fruit. Western is solidly an opposition stronghold," he said.
