Opposition chief Raila Odinga has faulted the Jubilee administration for failing to effectively tackle insecurity in some parts of the country, the Star has reported.
Speaking on Thursday after meeting a delegation from the Maa community, the ODM leader singled out the ongoing tribal clashes in Kerio Valley, challenging the state to expeditiously contain the situation.
“Kenyans are going through a hard time (during which) the President’s priorities are misplaced. We want investigations into the killings are the culprits arrested, prosecuted and detained," he said.
“If Ruto and Uhuru are not interested in power they should go home since they are playing with the lives of Kenyans. We want to give power back to citizens so that we can serve them better,” he added.
The former premier also condemned recent killings of two Baringo politicians, alleging that the killings were politically instigated.
“President Uhuru (Kenyatta) has failed in everything including providing security for all Kenyans. This has seen some people take advantage to settle political scores,” he stated.
