Cord leader Raila Odinga has hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, claiming they have shown that they are not ready to change the lives of Coast residents.
Speaking at Likoni Caltex grounds in Mombasa, Raila faulted the seating government for hoodwinking residents by initiating ghost projects.
The former Prime Minister further said that the title deeds issued by the Jubilee administration were fake.
"Jubilee is the enemy of the Coast people. They duped you with title deeds which have since been declared fake by the court. Those are not my words, it is the court's directive,” said Raila, as quoted by the Standard.
Lands Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi, however, told Coast residents that there is no cause for alarm as the government will intervene in the matter.
He also said the court's judgment had been suspended for a period of two years to allow the State to rectify the matter.
Raila also lashed out at Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i and other officials in the education sector, over the 2016 KCSE results.
He said the CS and his team should be investigated over the matter.
"We cannot celebrate an individual when we are destroying a whole generation of our youth. Only 15 per cent attained university entry points. It cannot be that 85 per cent were fools," he said.
