Odinga, in a statement to newsrooms on Sunday, said Kenyans were right to have rejected the same Jubilee team before because they have failed to deliver.

"The Jubilee leadership is essentially the one that Kenyans rejected in 2002," he said.

"What we have gone through from 2013, compared to the period from 2003, proves that we were right to reject this team when it first attempted to seize power," he added.

The ODM party leader also accused those close to the presidency and elites in the business of colluding to pilfer public resources.

He claimed that the ability of a tiny billionaire club to buy anything at any price and splashing funds from unknown sources at harambees was a clear indicator of the beneficiaries of lost public resources

"Top government officials enjoying the patronage of the presidency joined ranks with elites in big business to plunder public resources in complete disregard of the long-term interests of our nation," he said.

"This conspiracy produced a tiny billionaire class in just four years whose members can buy the latest model of anything at any price anywhere and contribute millions at weekly harambees while the rest of the population struggle to get basic resources," he added.
