Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has claimed that opposition chief Raila Odinga and some Jubilee politicians he did not name have been holding night meetings to strategize on the referendum push.
The vocal MP has however warned that such plot will not succeed. He said it is time for the elected leaders to work for Kenyans and not going back to the campaign trail.
"I want to tell my friend Raila Odinga and some Jubilee MPs who are fond of holding night meetings to stop this nonsense of planning for a referendum. Kenyans are tired of politics and it is time for us to deliver our promises to the electorates," said Sudi during the burial of Daniel Kimaru in Kesses, Monday.
The MP who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto further called the opposition leader to accept that he lost in the presidential elections.
"Raila should stop plans to ascend to power through the referendum push. As leaders from this region we will not allow that to happen," added Sudi.
He also claimed that the former Prime Minister is not happy with Ruto's presidential ambitions and that's why he wants to use the referendum to stop him from succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta.
