The ODM party leader Raila Odinga has now said the time for the 'Afro-cinema' Jubilee regime must come to an end after the August elections.
Speaking Friday to the press in Nairobi's Karen, Raila said the cover-ups on corruption by the Jubilee administration could not work anymore, adding that they were given a chance to act, but failed to deal with the perpetrators.
"But the cover up only worked for some time. Gimmicks never last. As the curtains come down on the Afro-cinema called the Jubilee regime, Kenya is at a breaking point on the issue of corruption," he said.
"The time for decisive action has long come and gone. Even the eloquent, smooth and slick talkers have lost their tongues," he added.
The Cord co-principal noted that the Transparency International report indicating that Kenya was among the most corrupt countries in the world was a clear indication on the need for regime change, saying that Kenya has returned to the super-league in corruption.
"In the latest Transparency International report, Kenya has returned to the super league of corruption, listed among the 20 most corrupt countries in the world, alongside big players like Bangladesh, Cameroon, The Gambia, Madagascar and Nicaragua," he added.
