NASA opposition leaders who served as prime minister, deputy prime minister and vice president are set to pocket millions of money if a bill proposed by Narok senator Hon. Ledama Ole Kina passes in the Senate chambers.

The bill also targets retired deputy presidents and speakers who served anytime after Januar 1, 1993.

Those who are set to benefit also include those who served and retired as chief justice and deputy chief justice after the promulgation action of 2010 constitution.

Among the many packages set to be enjoyed by former prime minister include: a minimum of six armed security guards and not exceeding ten security guards of his choice, diplomatic passports for himself and his wife, a furnished office, maintenance of his vehicles and access to VIP lounges in Kenyan airports.

The three NASA leaders are set to enjoy luxurious packages if the Senate passes the Retirement Benefits(Deputy President and Designated State Officers) (Amendment) Act, 2018.

Former Vice President Moody Awori is also set to package from the package. 

If passed the bill will see Raila Odinga receive three drivers, one personal assistant, one accountant, two secretaries, two housekeepers and two cooks.

The benefits of former deputy Presidents are of the same as that of the former premier only that they will receive two drivers and one secretary. 

The bill also proposes that in case the Executive wants to amend any benefits entitled to a State officer, a joint parliamentary committee be tasked to review the said decision.
