The Luhya Council of Elders has endorsed the National Super Alliance (Nasa) line-up that was unveiled last week at Uhuru Park grounds in Nairobi.

ODM’s Raila Odinga was named as the coalition’s flag bearer with Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka as his running mate. ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi will be given the position of Premier Cabinet Secretary with Ford-Kenya’s Moses Wetangula and CCM’s Isaac Rutto deputising him.

Addressing the press in Bungoma, Saturday, the elders urged the ‘Mulembe’ community to support Nasa by voting for them in the August general elections so as to send Jubilee government home, noting that Kenyatta led government has failed the country.

“The economy has been destroyed by wanton corruption. It’s time JP packed and went,” chairman Patrick Wangamati said.

“Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka have an excellent record. They have a shared vision, which they will actualise once elected,” he added.
