[Photo|Gladys Wanga]Opposition's NASA coalition has declared Thursday, November 16, a public holiday.NASA's National Resistance Movement (NRM) footsoldiers held a mammoth rally at Jacaranda grounds on Sunday where they attacked the Jubilee government saying they do not recognise Uhuru Kenyatta as Kenya's president.Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi said Thursday will be a public holiday to all Nasa coalition supporters as they will be welcoming back their leader Raila Odinga who has been out of the country since Wednesday, November 8.Odinga has been on an official visit in the USA.The coalition has as well welcomed supporters to walk to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and welcome him home.Nasa also asked supporters to await Raila's deputy Kalonzo Musyoka who will be getting back from Germany where he has been for private business since October.Opiyo's statement, however, contravenes the law since the government through the Ministry of Interior and Coordination is the only one required to declare a certain day as a public holiday.Odinga has in the past also declared certain days as public holidays and asked Kenyans especially his supporters not to go to work.
