[Photo| Nation]The swearing-in ceremony of the National Super Alliance (Nasa) principals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as the people's president and deputy president respectively has suffered another setback with only few days left to the event. This is after the former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu on Thursday moved to court in a bid to have NASA stopped from conducting the planned ceremony. Mutambu termed the oath plan as a threat to national security. The ex-legislator's move came just a day after another group, Bunge la Wananchi, also went to court on Wednesday to have the opposition leader's swearing-in plan blocked from taking place. The group argued that NASA's move was a pure act of civil disobedience.NASA have maintained that they will swear-in their leaders on January, 30, 2018 at Uhuru park in Nairobi.
Mutambu wasa Wiper party member but defected to Jubilee party before the August 8 polls.
He was ousted by Gideon Mulyungi in Mwingi Central seat.
