The former Prime Minister said that telling Kalonzo to leave the National Super Alliance (NASA) is an insult.
The opposition leader was speaking at Kyusyani in Kitui County where he asked the Kamba community to back his presidency.
“To ask Kalonzo to join Jubilee and wait until 2022 to deputize Ruto is an insult,” posed Raila, as quoted by the Citizen.
This is after President Uhuru called upon Kalonzo to ditch NASA in order to form the government with Deputy William Ruto in 2022.
The head of State said that Raila has nothing new to offer to the Kamba community. During his tour in the region, the president unveiled several projects in a bid to woo the residents to rally behind his candidature when that time comes
Raila was accompanied by different leaders aligned to the opposition including Makueni Governor, Kivutha Kibwana, who asked the community to stand with Raila as he seeks power for his fourth time.
On his part, Kalonzo has maintained that he is in NASA to stay until Raila rises to power after the August.
