The late William ole Ntimama’s daughter Leah has accused ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga of lying that her late father telephoned him after the deceased’s State House visit.
She said it was improper for the former Prime Minister to mislead the public knowing very well that the allegations could not be refuted by the dead.
"What the former Prime Minister said about my father is untrue, it is incorrect. Why lie on the dead who cannot respond to allegations? Why lie in anticipation that you will get Maa vote or sympathy? Mzee showed us the way in Jubilee and his word stands,” she said.
Speaking during a funds drive in aid of Oljorai Baptist Church in Gilgil constituency over the weekend, Leah also defended the government on allegations made by Raila that there are two hands with one allegedly suppressing the Maa community.
“I stand here as Leah Ntimama to say that the government does not have two hands as Raila claims. We are behind President Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto,” she added. The Water Services Regulatory Authority (Wasreb) director, who is eyeing the Narok Women’s Rep seat, vowed to face Raila when he visits Narok County next week to tell him off over the telephone conversation matter.
Leah said the Maasai community has benefited a lot from the Jubilee administration and urged the community to firmly remain in government in order to reap great even after the 2017 General Election.
Kajiado Senator Peter Mositet said that the Maasai community will not support Cord in 2017.
The senator called on the community to support Jubilee in order to benefit more after the 2017 election.
