National Supper Alliance flag bearer Raila Odinga has claimed that acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i is behind a plot to rig the upcoming polls in favour of Jubilee party.
According to Odinga, the CS is working closely with IEBC to rig the forthcoming General Election.
He made the allegations while addressing supporters at Woodly grounds in Kibra on Tuesday.
He claimed that Dr Matiang’i has had several meetings with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission under the pretext of discussing security matters.
“Matiang’i is the point man of Jubilee in Nyamira County and therefore he’s acting on their interest and not that of the public, Matiang’i is part of Jubilee and we will not allow him to interfere with institutions such as IEBC,” said Raila.
Matiangi was appointed to the position in an acting capacity after the death of Joseph Nkaissery two weeks ago.
