Despite NASA submitting three names with exclusion of the MP, Jubilee party through Aden Duale on Wednesday fronted Momenyi alongside other Jubilee nominees.

"I will fight this war and Raila is not God. I don't fear him and I shall carry on with the battle," he said.

Raila's NASA fronted Mutula Kilonzo, Gladys Wanga and Aisha Jumwa despite Wiper's decision to clear Momanyi for the post.

At parliament, Duale maintained that Momanyi used all necessary processes  and his name was validly presented by the Wiper party.

"Momanyi was validly nominated by Wiper, which is a party in parliamentary regulations. To remove his, name, Wiper must hold NEC to come with other minutes," he said.

The latest development will complicate matter and Momanyi could easily sail through given the support from the Jubilee controlled parliament.

To address Wiper's grievances, NASA had prevailed upon Mutula Kilonzo to relinquish his Minority Whip for Vihiga Senator George Khaniri to take the position.
