The man behind the National Super Alliance (NASA) spirited campaigns in Tharaka Nithi county a Jubilee perceived stronghold Mr Isiah kindiki has revealed that ODM party leader Raila Odinga was the man who wooed him to join the opposition coalition.

Kindiki who happens to be Senate Majority leader Senator Kindiki Kithure's brother said Raila first contacted him in 2016 while he was working in South Africa to come help him consolidate support for him in the Tharaka Nithi county.

Kindiki said after a series of meeting with the opposition chief he agreed to take on the challenge of marketing the Raila brand in a perceived Uhuru Kenyatta's stronghold.

“I did not join the opposition blindly. I am convinced that Mr Odinga is the man to save this country from immense corruption that has pushed citizens into serious poverty,” said Prof Kindiki.

Kindiki is opptimistic that if the former Prime Minister assumes power after August 8, Tharaka Nithi county will enjoy massive development projects unlike the little progress they have witnessed under the Jubilee administration.

"Unlike in the Jubilee government, under the Nasa leadership, we will have various appointments in our county and visible projects such as roads, institutions and irrigation,” he said.
