National Super Alliance (NASA) under the stewardship of Former Prime Minister, Raila Amolo Odinga has changed its stand on international election observers.

Earlier on, the opposition had rubbished the observers’ stand on the way elections were conducted, but now it has invited them to oversee the exercise come October 26.

In a statement read by one of their principals, the leaders said that they have met with the observes over the elections, adding that they welcomed them to join the nation.

“We have today met observers from the European Union (EU) and African Judges Jurist Forum Secretariat led by former Tanzania Chief Justice Chande Othman. We are happy with their input,” said Musalia Mudavadi at Capitol Hill yesterday who was accompanied by Raila and his running mate, Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, as quoted by Standard.

The leaders also said that they have taken into account recommendations of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries (IEBC) ahead of the fresh elections.

“We have taken cognisance of their recommendations to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. We are not against them,” said Mudavadi.
