National Super Alliance (NASA) Raila Amolo Odinga has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have hatched a plot to retain power through unconstitutional means.

According to Raila, Uhuru and his Jubilee brigades want to amend electoral laws to introduce dictatorial tendencies in the nation.

Speaking during his tour in the Western Region, Raila, who is taking a fourth stab at the nation’s top seat questioned why Uhuru’s team pushing hard for the changes in the laws yet he claims he won the August general elections in a free and fair manner.

“If Uhuru won fairly in the August polls, why is he pushing for amendments in the electoral laws? He is introducing dictatorial tendencies in the country by using Parliament to come up with bad laws that favor him using the tyranny of numbers he has in the House,” he said, as quoted by Standard.

His remarks were reiterated by Ford Kenya Leader Moses Wetangula who said that parliament has no goodwill of the Kenyan people at heart.

“The law can be changed by Parliament that does not have the interests of the electorate at heart to favor the ruling party but the people of Kenya are greater than anyone in power,” Wetangula said.
