The warm gesture that happened in full glare of the public took place at the Safari Park during the annual national prayer breakfast event.

After the kind word from the two leaders, Odinga took to his Facebook page where he further endorsed the hug and gave a daring promise to Kenyans who in recent times have been at loggerheads because of his strained relationship with the Head of State.

"I was glad to join other leaders and fellow citizens at the annual national prayer breakfast to celebrate the spirit of peace and reconciliation in the country. I intend to do everything in my power going forward to consolidate reconciliation and fight corruption," said Raila.

NASA leaders Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula were conspicuously missing since only Raila and Kalonzo Musyoka were present at the event.
