Opposition leader Raila Odinga has termed the mass voter registration exercise that kicks off on January 15, as the beginning of Kenya's liberation from bad leadership.

Raila who spoke in Bondo on Saturday during the burial of Prof Rok Ajulu said Kenyans have no choice but to vote out Jubilee in August.

He said the corruption scandals that have rocked the administration are enough to disqualify President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration from leadership.

"The battle is on for the citizens to choose between the status quo and the change that they believe in," Raila said as quoted by the Star.

He said only Cord or NASA will liberate the country from bad governance.

Prof Ajulu, 66, was the husband to South Africa’s Human Settlement Minister Lindiwe Sisulu.

He eulogized the late Professor as a pan-Africanist and a great member of the African race in the struggle for democracy.
