NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has met Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati just hours after IEBC cancelled the meeting scheduled with candidates.

Raila was accompanied by NASA co-principal Musalia Mudvadi who said that the meeting was informed by the recent developments at the commission which saw the unexpected resignation of commissioner Roselyne Akombe on Wednesday this week.

"The resignation of Roselyn Akombe and Chairman's [Chebukati] statement that IEBC cannot guarantee credible elections on October 26 is extremely serious development in our country. This informed our meeting as it points out to our previous concerns," said Mudavadi.

Speaking after the meeting, Mudavadi asked the media to analyse statements made by Chebukatai and Akombe on Wednesday, and said that they still did not believe the environment was conducive for a credible election.
