The National Super Alliance (Nasa) principal Raila Odinga held a meeting with Gusii professionals on Wednesday, at the Okoa Kenya secretariat offices in Nairobi.During the meeting, the professionals declared to back Raila's presidency in the upcoming October 26 fresh presidential election.They further noted they will not accept to be lured to change their minds."We the omogusii believe that a Raila Amolo Odinga presidency is clearly in sight and we the Omogusii are solidly behind the course. We shall not be bought, we shall not be cowed, we shall not be fenced into some myopic, narrow-minded torch. We shall stand on the bigger platform of truth, justice and equity," declared the Omugusii professionals.The former prime minister is expected to face off with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat poll.
Gusii region is perceived to be Nasa's stronghold, however, in the August 8 polls Uhuru garnered a lot of votes.
The election was however nullified due to irregularities and illegalities in the election process.
