Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday met with the Nairobi Business Community at his Capitol Hill offices in Upper Hill.
The group paid a courtesy call to the National Super Alliance leader in a move aimed a quelling the conflict between the opposing factions.
During the run-up to and after the 2017 General elections, the Nairobi Business Community came up with a plan to counter opposition demonstrations in Nairobi City County.
Former Prime minister's communication team released a statement revealing the group paid tribute to Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta and agreed to work together while pledging full support for their initiative.
"They appealed to members from the other side of the political divide with whom they clashed to equally lay down arms calling on both parties to work together for the peace deal," the statement read in part.
Raila Odinga had been holding a series of meetings recently with his former fierce rival including Gatundu south Mp , Moses Kuria.
Speaking after the meeting ,Mr Kuria said that they had discussed among others things what they needed to do for the country to move on as united.
"It's time to unite this country. We met to discuss how we can best bring Kenyans together," Kuria said.
He further revealed that their talks had nothing to do with Jubilee Party or NASA politics.
" I want you to know this is in no way about Jubilee and NASA, we want to have all Kenyans on board including those don't have a party," he said.
