ODM party leader Raila Odinga on Thursday met leaders from Taita Taveta County.
The leaders were led by Governor John Mruttu who has remained one of Raila's principal supporters in the country.
Raila is expected to visit Taita Taveta next week to root for support ahead of the 2017 general elections.
Other leaders who attended the meeting that took place at Mr Odinga's Capitol Hill office included ODM Secretary in charge of Foreign Affairs Joyce Lay, Wundanyi MP and Parliament Minority Leader Thomas Mwadeghu and Voi MP Jones Mwangogo.
Taita Taveta is one of the counties in the country which overwhelmingly voted for Mr Odinga during the 2013 general election.
Mruttu during the meeting pledged to bolster ODM support in the county as the country prepares for polls.
