Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday met the European Union head in Kenya as his decision to agree to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta gains more support both locally and internationally.
The two met at the former Prime Minister's Capitol Hill office in Nairobi.
The opposition chief said he discussed with the European Union head a range of issues including promoting unity in the country.
"The head of the European Union in Kenya Ambassador Stefano-Antonio Dejak paid me a courtesy call this morning. We discussed areas of common interest and he pledged their support for the building bridges initiative in any capacity that they may be called upon," Raila said shortly after the meeting.
Dejak is among top international figures who have held talks with Raila at a time the country needs more cohesion following a divisive electioneering period in which over 50 people died in Post Election Violence (PEV) incidents.
The meeting comes less than two months after the opposition chief met President Uhuru Kenyatta and agreed to work with the commander in chief towards uniting Kenyans.
Among high ranking international figures the former Langata MP has met recently is Rex Wayne Tillerson, the former United States Secretary of State.
